Location
Our lodge is situated 25 minutes inland from the airport. This makes it an ideal starting point for tours departing in the direction of Kandy (2,5 hrs), Sigiriya (3 hrs) and the east coast (Arugambay, Trincomalee, Passikudah).
Entry Requirements
1) A visa is needed before arrival. Please visit http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa for more information.
2) Passports must be valid at least 6 months after your return date.
3) You must fill out an online arrival card prior to entering Sri Lanka. Please visit https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/emb/eEmbarkation to do this.
Climate
Sri Lanka enjoys a tropical climate with only slight variations in temperature during the year between 28°C – 31°C. The best time to travel is from November until April to visit the south and from April to October, to discover the east coast.

Currency & Expenses
The currency in Sri Lanka is the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). UK Pounds, Swiss Francs, US dollars or Euros can be exchanged at the airport, in hotels or banks. Although credit cards such as American Express, Visa and MasterCard are generally accepted in larger shops and restaurants, it is important to carry cash for tipping and purchases in smaller establishments.
