Set at the heart of the historical Kotaliyade Estate’s organic coconut farm, we are committed to running our Lodge as sustainably as possible
Supporting our local community
To support the local economy and nurture our ties with the community, we have chosen to work exclusively with local partners. Whether it’s for the supply of fresh produce, hand-crafted decorations or even the services required for our operations, we actively support local initiatives.
Our coconuts harvested from the estate are primarily sold to local businesses and artisans, some of whom then resell their finished products to us. We’re also proud to support our community through charitable initiatives, such as participating in the purchase of school materials for children in the village or covering medical expenses as and when needed.
Respecting our environment
Aware of the impact our actions have on the environment, we have taken significant steps to promote ethical and environmentally-friendly practices in how we run the Lodge. These values manifest themselves in our conscious decisions to :
– Replace our PET bottles with filtered water served in glass bottles
– Use compostable straws
– Power our electricity from solar panels
– Source water from our own wells
– Minimise our environmental impact in our housekeeping practices
